Ladybird launches new site

Image for story

Over the last few months we have been working with Ladybird on the initial redesign of their new website.

This iconic brand has been at the forefront of children’s publishing for over sixty years now and forms a cornerstone of many people’s childhood memories. That kind of accolade is pretty important, so we wanted to ensure the new site met the needs of today's families. The site’s new design will reflect Ladybird’s current direction for its publishing; a modern, contemporary parent-friendly approach that has the child at the heart of it.

Soup create Howies DO Lecture site

Image for story

Soup worked with howies to create a site which extended the reach of the inspiring DO Lectures to a much wider audience than simply those attending the events.

Streamed videos of each of the speakers were made available so users could send them to friends or upload them to their blogs.

And, as well as enabling the widest audience we could to experience DO, we wanted to tap into the wealth of knowledge of all the people speaking at the events. So, we created Brainfood, a place where the speakers could talk about the things that have inspired them; a bible for Doing. Who better, we all thought, to point you in the right direction, than those who have their hearts closest to the cause.

The site showcases Jordans’ new product range, blog, monthly promotions and competitions, company information and brand values. And the joy is in the detail, with animations, weather feeds and interactive spaces adding interest and allowing the audience to engage throughout the various pages. It launched on Monday 6 October 2008.

Jordans have engaged Soup to continue work with them moving forwards to manage their e-comms, & online marketing.

Carol Welch, Director of Marketing & Innovation at Jordans, commented: ‘Jordans has a rich heritage in making wholegrain breakfast cereals since the 1970s and we pioneered our own nature friendly farming scheme in 1985. We have a huge amount of depth at the core of our brand, and digital is an ideal media for communicating and involving consumers in this.’  Carol added: ‘Soup’s creative has brought the brand to life brilliantly and integrates perfectly with the new look packaging design and advertising – exactly in line with our brief. The design feels incredibly fresh and it is fantastic to see people signing up to be our friends or commenting on the recipes – basically starting to really interact with the brand.’
